  15. Set your serial port speed to 19200 bps or higher. If you conenct to
  16. another modem, and "V.32 terbo" is the fastest mutually compatible
  17. protocol, then you will connect in that mode.

  19. "V.32 terbo" is a proprietary protocol (to AT&T Paradyne) and so you will
  20. only connect in that mode to modems made by them, or using their data
  21. pump.
